Casa Green Town is a development covering an area of 320 hectares on the edge of the Bouskoura forest, near Casablanca. This vast project, on the scale of a small town, includes housing, a golf club, a school, a town centre, horse-riding facilities, a spa centre and a university. D PAYSAGE has been commissioned to work on all the public spaces of this development, such as the plazas, the esplanades, streetscapes, pedestrian paths and the town centre. Our approach in designing the landscape principles is to anchor the project in its natural environment, taking into account the topography, the geology and the climate. All the planting and hardscape materials are inspired by the rich Moroccan culture, which is reflected in the colours, textures, irrigation management, craftwork and Islamic garden principles. Traditional elements have then been given a contemporary expression in order to give Casa Green Town its own signature.
